"Le Domaine des Rives d'Ousse" opens its doors to welcome you from May 2025.
Located in a bucolic wooded park of 9ha in the Landes, 30 minutes north of Dax and 50 minutes from the beaches.
The project of a lifetime
Our life project is finally seeing the light of day ☺️ 💕
The loving alliance of an Architect and a Photographer gave birth to this extraordinary place.
After several years of searching for the ideal location, we are making our dream come true, to create a wedding site, to organize seminars and beneficial retreats, also ideal for organizing your family events or a getaway in a large capacity Gîte.
A 3000 m2 pond and its private islet, a river that borders the property, century-old oaks, a bamboo grove, all this naturally soothing space, will be at your disposal to unite you in an idyllic place or more simply during a family stay.
You can come and recharge your batteries with colleagues for your end-of-year seminar, or get together for a memorable family reunion.
Everything is possible in this environment lulled by nature and the crowing of the rooster in the early morning.
We share the estate with Anette our donkey, Bella the pony and the chickens.
Why the name “Domaine des Rives d'Ousse”?
When we visited the property for the first time, we discovered a place full of nature with a 3000m2 pond fed by a stream, the Lesgourgues. Then further on, another stream that joined it, the Cassouat, which gives its name to the place. On the old Cassini maps, a mill existed at the time. The Cassouat mill with the Grange which was already marked.
Then we walked in the forest and sat down on the banks of a river, Le Bez. A river of white water where fish flow and 300m of which borders the property with its two small sandy beaches. It was at that moment that we said to ourselves, this is where we will be able to carry out our project. This calm, this appeasement of the trees, the sound of the water.
Further on, a stream, the Millouca, encloses the land and flows into the Bez.
Coming up from the forest and passing behind the barn, a small stream, a trickle of water in summer which turns into a stream in winter.
And all this nature, this water, this energy recharge is located in the commune of Ousse Suzan.
Hence the name of the Rives d'Ousse estate, it goes without saying.
